Adventures in Paradise

My story…
Previous visits to Costa Rica were based out of the northwest Pacific region of Guanacaste. Overnight excursions to the rainforest of Monteverde and Tenorio Volcano were highlights of those visits.
Thousands of kilometres driven and hundreds walked allowed us to drink deeply of the culture and biodiversity of the country. Visits to remote villages, backroads and beaches led to my falling in love with all that says Pura Vida to me.
Back in 2017, I knew I wanted to live out my live in Costa Rica but, I wasn’t sure that I could do it alone. The pandemic has made me rethink all of that and I sold my house and made the move to Costa Rica.
While the ocean is beautiful to visit, I had no desire to live there so I searched inland closer to the rainforest. The climate of Lake Arenal and the proximity to numerous National Parks, shopping and medical care for myself and my pets cemented my choice.
I will use this journal to document the move and my adventures along the way. I do not intend to create a roadmap for others to follow but rather a simple storytelling of the rest of my journey.
I would be delighted to have you share my journey with me.
