Persistence, Passion, P\u00e1jaros & Peace…<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Two years ago, I met a woman on a border-run bus. We ended up talking nonstop for about seven hours\u2014about Costa Rica, our backgrounds, our interests, and our lives. By the end of the trip, it was clear we had a great deal in common.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She had already added me on Facebook because she\u2019d seen my posts in local community groups and shared my interest in nature. So after the trip, we naturally continued our conversations on Messenger. I invited her to visit the good side of the lake more than once, but it never quite worked out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A few months ago, she told me she was planning an outing with a group on this side of the lake and suggested we might meet up the day before. Since I had a spare room, I offered her a place to stay the night prior to her trip. It took a few days for her to decide, but eventually she agreed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We spent that afternoon talking, went out for dinner, and chatted late into the evening before retiring to separate rooms. The next morning, after coffee and bagels, I dropped her off for her event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From there, we talked every day\u2014texting and video calling. At the end of the month, she needed to return to Canada to deal with affairs after her brother\u2019s passing. Still, our long daily conversations continued, and over the next two months, we found ourselves in a whirlwind online romance that ultimately led to her moving in with me upon her return to Costa Rica.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Am I in love? With all my heart\u2014truly, and perhaps for the first time in my life. These past few weeks, we\u2019ve been busy making my house our home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
